How can I use the power I have to change my story?

How can I use the power I have to change my story?

Dear Friends,

The power to change your story lies within you. It’s not something you need to search for outside of yourself; it’s in the very thoughts you think and the beliefs you hold. Imagine for a moment that your life is like a book, and every chapter is shaped by the thoughts you consistently tell yourself. What if I told you that at any moment, you can pick up the pen and start writing a new story? You can, and here’s how.

Recognize Your Current Beliefs

Every story you live is based on the beliefs you hold. These beliefs—often created by past experiences, society, or even fears—determine the narrative you follow. As Abraham-Hicks teaches, “A belief is just a thought you keep thinking.”Think about that for a moment. If a belief is nothing more than a repeated thought, then that means you have the power to think new thoughts, form new beliefs, and in turn, change your life.

Take a moment to become aware of the beliefs that no longer serve you. What are you telling yourself daily? Do you believe that success is only for others? Or that love is hard to find? These limiting beliefs are the first step in identifying the old story. Once recognized, you can begin to change them.

Change Your Focus

What you focus on expands. It’s a simple truth that many of us overlook. If you keep focusing on what isn’t working in your life, you'll keep attracting more of it. Energy flows where attention goes. Instead, try to shift your focus toward what you do want, even if it feels far away or unreachable right now.

Take time each day to visualize your ideal life. Speak about it as if it’s already happening, and most importantly, feel the emotions of already having it. This practice shifts your vibration and aligns you with what you desire. You’re no longer focused on lack but instead on abundance. Slowly, you’ll notice things starting to shift in your favor.

Use the Power of Affirmations

Affirmations are powerful tools that help you rewrite your internal dialogue. By affirming new beliefs that support your desired life, you are consciously choosing to shift your energy. One simple affirmation can start to change the way you see yourself and the world around you. An affirmation could be as simple as: “I am the creator of my reality, and I choose a life filled with joy and abundance.”

The key with affirmations is consistency. Just like those old thoughts and beliefs formed from repetition, new affirmations take time and dedication to become your default way of thinking. Use them daily to support the shift you are creating within yourself.

Release Resistance

Resistance is what keeps us stuck in the same story. Often, we resist change because it feels uncomfortable or because we’re afraid of the unknown. But releasing resistance is essential to creating space for the new. Through practices like meditation, breathwork, or journaling, you can begin to let go of that resistance.

Think of resistance like a tightly held fist. When you let go, your hand opens, making it possible to receive. The same is true for your mind and heart. When you release resistance, you create the space necessary for the new and better things you desire to flow into your life.

Take Inspired Action

It’s not enough to just change your thoughts—action is essential. But not just any action—inspired action. Inspired action comes from a place of alignment. It feels good, natural, and often, effortless. When you align with your new beliefs and begin thinking differently, you’ll start to feel nudges or pulls in certain directions. This is your intuition guiding you toward the next step. Trust it.

When you act from a place of inspiration, rather than fear or pressure, the journey becomes enjoyable. Every step feels like progress because it’s aligned with your true desires.

The Power to Write a New Story is Yours

Your story is always within your control. By changing your thoughts, releasing resistance, and focusing on what you want, you align with the power to create a new narrative. One that reflects the fullest, most joyous version of yourself.

As you move forward, remember that the process of transformation isn’t always instant. It’s about steady, consistent shifts in the way you think and feel. Each day, you have the opportunity to choose a new belief, a new focus, a new action. With time, you’ll look back and realize that you’ve written a completely different story than the one you started with—one filled with joy, abundance, and empowerment.

So, dear friends, take a moment today to pause and ask yourself: “What story am I telling? And is it the story I want to live?” If not, know that the power to change it is right here, within you, waiting to be tapped into.

With love,
